How it Works

We Come to You

If you have books you wish to sell or donate, Birdland Books will come to you! We’re based in southern West Virginia and love hitting the road for great books. Locations more than a couple of hours away are considered on a case-by-case basis. We will review your information and contact you ASAP to begin the process and schedule a visit.

Collection Assessment

Our crew will evaluate your collection without you having to lift a finger. We consider the content and condition of the books to determine their approximate value. This can take a few minutes for smaller collections or multiple hours for larger collections. We buy quality books of all shapes and sizes. We generally cannot accept periodicals, encyclopedias, or books that are moldy, water damaged, or in multiple pieces.

We Make an Offer

After reviewing your collection, we provide an offer for all or some of your books depending on your preferences and needs. Our crew will provide a clear offer sheet that shows our cash offer, a premium donation program offer, or a mixed cash/donation offer. You choose which option you prefer, and we will do the rest. We can also provide an estimated amount you might expect from other online book buying services and book donation programs so you can make an informed decision.

Once an agreement has been made, our crew will carefully box up and haul away your books.
